"RUNNING CLOCK" NORTH VICTORY OVER CENTRAL PUTS HUSKIES IN FIRST PLACE

The North Huskies Boys Basketball team moved to 15-4 on the season with a rare "Running Clock" victory over arch rival Central 69-38. The win combined with Mater Dei's victory over Bosse tonight moves the Huskies into sole possession of FIRST PLACE in the SIAC Conference with two games to play. Reitz, Bosse, and North are all tied at the top of the City standings with one game each to play.

The Huskies were led in scoring and rebounds by Bryson Chapman with 17 points and 8 boards. Chapman was presented with an award before the game for being only the 8th player in 69 years of Husky boys basketball to reach 1,000 points for a career. Junior Greg Pieterek had yet another "all round game" in which he contributed 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and three steals.
